Duolingo Learn Many Languages for Free App Reviews

This app will get you so far ahead. Especially if you have a Spanish teacher that teaches the same thing year after year and doesnt even pronounce things correctly and cant teach (like at Infant Jesus of Prague) it helps ALOT. If you want to test into Spanish two in high school for your freshmen year then USE THIS APP ITS THE BOMB!!! CANT FIND ANYTHING BETTER (expect my old Spanish teacher, but it wouldve taken us a while to get where this app puts you!

Please add the Filipino language--Tagalog.

The only way to learn a language with a language app is to actually use the app. So far, I have tried this app which is free and another app which was $30 for one month. This app was more enjoyable. If you do get this app, you may also want to get Tiny Cards which provides accompanying flash cards. Its not perfect, but the most important thing is, it makes learning fun, just like this app. I will make two suggestions for improvement of the app, just to let the developers know what some users would like. 1. For exercises where you need to check the right translation with a check mark, either before or after you check the right choice, it would be helpful to hear audio of the translation. 2. I would like to have more little owl outfits or other fun things to spend my lingots on.

Duolingo used to be an amazing app for learning new languages, but then they added the health bar. Now you cant really learn the language because if you mess up five times you get kicked out. Then you have to wait 5 HOURS to get ONE health bar back. Duolingo devs, PLEASE destroy the health bar! I cant learn Spanish because of it!!

I was really looking forward to learning spanish and practicing with the bots. To get to the bots you have to complete 3 skills which seamed reasonable. On the first skill, on all of the lessons they got the congugations so wrong!!! Everytime on that second skill I write for the translation I am a person, then it makes me redo it until I dont have any hearts left! Then it tells me the exact same answer that I wrote!!! I will not be keeping this app. I recommend you should not either, unless you want to learn the language totally wrong! I am 11 years old and I could teach you Spanish better than this app! I have the best Spanish teacher..... a person!

Is an excellent way to learn languages. User friendly. Beautiful screens. Very productive.

So happy that I discovered this app. I took 5yrs of Spanish in high school but havent used it in 25 years. This is a great refresher. Only gripe is that when moving on to a new lesson, I wish the flash cards with the word and photo would be FIRST instead of trying to guess a sentence without even knowing the new word yet

Absolutely love this app. While the rest of the world pops bubbles Im learning a second language. The user interface is so simple. Ive learned more in 2 weeks than I did in 2 years of school

I love this app! Its fun, looks pretty, and offers almost every tool that I, as a learner, need to learn a new language as a beginner. I love just login in and playing around, and its gratifying to feel the progress. The little chats are my favorite part! Ive been learning so much after I go through them. Really fun app. Strongly Recommended!!!

The App is great! It is really good for anyone who is seriously trying to learn another language.

I wish there were less multiple choice questions. I can usually guess the correct one without truly knowing or understanding. Other than that, I think its well put together!

Duolingo is the gold standard for language learning apps. I am 60% through the Spanish language tree and feel well on my way to being conversational. The layout and design of the app make it fun and useful. Its important to remember that there are innumerable nuances to a language and it is impossible to become fluent by just using this software. However, Duolingo is well equipped at getting you to a conversational level in a few short months. This will give you an invaluable amount of comfort when you arrive at your destination to become more immersed in the language. In short, I highly recommend Duolingo to both the new language learner and the person who wants to keep their language skills sharp!

I dont have much time and work a lot but wanted to learn Spanish. I have only been using the app for about 3 weeks but it is very easy to use. The Bots are a definite confidence builder. Looking forward to the next 3 weeks!

This app is really fun and makes learning a new language easy and interesting
