Dear Duolingo,

This app is helpful. I was about 50% fluent in Spanish when I decided to join. When I first got this app I was learning more Spanish & feeling increasingly comfortable speaking it. But there are issues. For one thing, our "skills" do not disappear as fast as you think. This app was supposed to make learning a new language a fun experience, but having to review "Weak Words" when you dont need to strengthen them makes it a CHORE. And its impossible to take a break when you want to; if I dont practice for 2 days Ill lose 7 skills. I spend so much time trying to convince Duolingo that I know a subject Ive already passed instead of using it to learn something new. Im either stuck in the same, boring, awful cycle or being pushed back. This app is just basic repetition, and Im growing tired of it.
