Frustrating beyond belief

I started out a few days ago really enjoying this in the app version. But my second day, after I had tested out of all of the icons on my screen and have a gold tree, I could not progress further. I have 100 gemstones but dont want to buy pick up lines or anything else. I have been checking online in various forums but cant figure out the problem. There is no way to figure out the rules while in the app and it has become so frustrating that Ive changed to another learning app. Maybe the online version is better, but the app isnt worth the frustration.
