I love it, but I hate it?

Duolingo is quite helpful, but its not helpful enough. Im learning French, its a language Ive been interested in since I was little. The application helps me learn some things and get a better understanding of what I already know, but when it comes to changing the verb endings, it gets confusing. The pronunciation of the words can be a bit confusing at times also. I usually check with Siri to see if Im saying it correctly, or if it at least understands what Im trying to say. For example, Duolingo was trying to teach me how to say rice or riz (in French), but I couldnt really understand how it was being pronounced. Thats my only complaint.
I wont say I dont like the application, because I do. I enjoy the bot conversations and I enjoy spelling and of course learning some new French words. I will admit, it is pretty good for a free app. Not many free foreign language learning apps are like this one. So I have mixed feelings about it.
