Dont expect to learn a language by just using an app of course- but it is a great tool to help you!

Its a wonderful way to learn languages And to practice those that You already know And maybe dont use often. Very well done Duolingo!!!

Ive always wanted to learn Spanish and figured Id have to spend a lot of money for Rosetta Stone, but Im having fun with duolingo and I think Im really learning a lot too.

Pretty fun

This app is very easy to use and has a variety of functions that are paced to keep you interested and engaged. I havent used it for long, only a few days, but I think the reminder feature and the ability to adjust the length of the lessons to fit my schedule will make it likely that Ill continue to use this app daily over an extended period. That is likely to lead to better and substantive learning.

Its difficult to learn a language when the app consistently process your answers incorrectly. It defeats the whole purpose of the app. Even for the simple stuff for example... App: La Mujer You type: The woman The app keeps saying that its wrong and you cannot advance until you type the wrong answer. So you type "the girl" and the app says you are wrong and gives you the following. Correct Solution La Mujer Translation The woman I even sent the support team an email and havent received a response for over 2 weeks now.

Good kind of learning other languages. Approved!

Used for a week and it is able to keep my interest. I like the interaction. I would like more explanations and the ability to see verb conjugations.

Theres a lot of translation from Portuguese into English but not nearly enough vice versa. Please add more writing in the actual language and not just translating from it.

Seriously. 10 minutes a day....and Im already speaking conversationally and picking back up what I lost in college.

I had begun to learn German with this app and it is extremely beneficial!!! Although I had been originally looking for Japanese, and was disappointed, the lessons themselves are thorough. My only recommendations are these: •Japanese language •weird glitch where when a new word appears, it does not have the option to review what it means. Thanks!!

Duolingo has helped me renew my love for learning languages! Its the only "gaming" app I own. I love the design of the app and how easy it is to start the basics of a language. Its great to stay fresh on languages that I am familiar with and to start to learn new languages in pursuit of finding conversation. All my friends use the app and I recommend it to anyone I know who is trying to learn languages or fresh their memory on a language they used to good at.

Duolingo is the best app currently available to learn a new language online! And its free! :-)

This app makes brushing up on a language easy and fun, but its not as good for learning a new language if you want to become conversational. But its free, so theres that.

Great way to practice and easy to take mobile. I do it on public transportation and in waiting rooms all the time. Retention is great too!
