Duolingo Learn Many Languages for Free App Reviews

Super awesome language app! Its really helping me learn German! I think that you should be able to really chat though. Chatting with computers is fun and all, but I would like to chat with other people on Duolingo! I love this app and highly recommend it!

You need to know something about me to understand my review. I am the king of unfinished projects. I will hear about something and tell everyone I know that I am excited about doing something and then a few days later someone will ask about it and I will be totally over it. I tried learning Spanish when I was in college and the way they taught me just overwhelmed me. I tried learning Arabic when I lived overseas and I just couldnt connect with it. I thought I could never learn a language. Well, Ive only been doing this app for a couple of weeks but I find that I am still interested in it and Im still learning things. Im not saying that this app will get me from only knowing a few words to fluency, but I know that Im not going to get to fluency if I keep on giving up on this. The way this app teaches language is fun. That makes it more likely that Im still going to be working towards my language learning goal long enough to have a chance at fluency. This is why I think this app is wonderful. Its motivational. Without this app, learning Spanish would just be another ridiculous dream. Now, its a goal Im actually working towards. Thats why I like this app.

Ime currently using Duolingo to learn French and to keep my Hebrew fresh in my mind as well as to expand on it. Im so happy with the app! There are definitely ways it could be better, perhaps by integrating technology that would allow you to draw the letters. But overall I am quite happy with it.

Fun and the lessons are not to long, very easy to use a few times a day.

Personal its more of a quiz but if you learn a language I would still have a teacher but I do real like this app

I advised all my friends I was determined to learn Spanish, so I googled the best app to use and stumbled on Duolingo! I went to a superbowl party and told the party guest I am learning Spanish through an app, the proceeded to tell me only use Duolingo (which I was already using). Everyone raves about this app and I see why! I am learning so much already! Gracias Duolingo!

Wish they had Korean for English speakers :(

Not your boring language course.

I used another expensive language before Duolingo and found it frustrating to use because it didnt understand my southern accent. This app not only accepts my speech, it also gives me coaching suggestions when I make mistakes. One star subtracted for making me buy more "health" when what I really need is more practice!
