Duolingo Learn Many Languages for Free App Reviews

I use this simply for keeping up the Spanish I have learned in school. It is a great refresher, but nothing is a substitute for actually going out there.

It is impossible to sign into your account on iPad. Useless!

I want to learn Spanish and this app has made learning new words fun and easy to memorize. The only thing I somewhat struggle with is pairing up things like nosotros somos (we are) tù eres (you are) and words like that I wish they had a lesson for those

This app is really amazing, its clearly well thought out and is probably the best education app Ive ever seen. Im currently learning Norwegian and can really see myself improving over time. My one issue with this app that I really hope someone who works for Duolingo will see is that on the things where it asks you to listen to something and repeat it I can almost never do it because I usually practice in a quiet space. I really feel that there should be a pass button on those where it doesnt mark you as correct or incorrect and gives you a new question. I cant tell you how many incorrects ive had to take because of this. Please resolve this!!

This app is amazing for learning languages. What would be great is if it had flash cards of all the words and phrases you have learned to study.

I love this app. I can keep my skills I learned in school and continue on learning.

I love this app, its functional, its fun, and its free! BUT - there are some bugs. When youre asked to speak a translation into the microphone and three times the program cant tell your answering the question correctly youve got an issue, the bigger issue with this is when you dont know the answer so you mumble the bit you dont know and the program thinks you answered correctly. Another issue I have with this program is that there is no study function to learn before the quizzing begins. Most of the time you start a new section with the pictures flash card type question, but when a section starts with a blank translate question I get really annoyed.

Its best app to learn new languege

The biggest thing this app has going for it is that its so easy and accessible. I can actually carve out enough time to use it, which is half the battle. Its great for building a basic vocabulary and learning the sentence structures of the languages. The biggest drawback is that it doesnt give you much practice with the back and forth of a natural conversation. Limited, but fun and helpful nonetheless.

I decided after years of not doing any Spanish work after college it was time to learn the language again. It is very good at teaching you words and sayings. It is also great to converse with the bots because it forces you into conversational language rather than reading and translating. Really happy with the app so far.

This app makes learning a new language or practising one you already know so simple and fun. I wish there were more stars to rate this as five is not enough. What makes this app so good, in my opinion, is that you play little games such as word matching to learn. Cannot rate this app high enough and I whole-heartedly recommend this to anyone who wants to learn a new language or practise known languages.

I had a problem with my iPhone and temporarily used an android. I downloaded duo and played duo with that and it allowed me to review discussions after each question. I really miss that feature now that Im back to my iPhone! A lot of people post links and other helpful info there!!! Please make available for iPhone too!!!! ??????

I downloaded and am using this app simply to receive extra credit in my German class, however, I am also interested in improving my Spanish and learning Hebrew. This is the most excellent language-learning tool that I have ever used. It utilises repetition, audio, translation to and from spoken and written language, automated chats, etcetera, and is very helpful. I dont typically write reviews, but I thought it would be unfair of me to express how good this app is. In addition, Duolingo has an avatar creation portion with a diverse variety assets to make an avatar with whom one can really identify; it sort of makes you more comfortable getting immersed in the language-learning experience...

Im finding the 10 - 15 minutes a day to be very achievable and Im definitely learning. For a free app its pretty exceptional.

I like how this app has you synthesize the words you learn into new sentences. It makes learning easy and natural. The interface is clean and easy to understand. And, its free, with very unobtrusive ads.

For some reason with one of the last couple updates, the bars wont fully fill up when I complete a category in some of the Spanish sections, even with no errors. This is irrespective of how many times I do it. Love the app but its a pretty annoying flaw.
