Duolingo Learn Many Languages for Free App Reviews

Very happy with this app! I am learning a lot and very quickly! User friendly and FREE!!!! It is a little hard to keep with with daily streaks because of running out of jems, I wish they would allow more way to earn them because I dont want to buy more. But other than that, Im obsessed!

I used before I went to school and after and Im acing French because of it.

You get stuck at phrases and wont learn more if you dont have the correct answer since you cant go to the next topic

Great app lots of fun and very useful

I love the interface. Really easy to use and enables you to improve your reading, writing , getting to know the sounds and pronounce them. Just a few lessons and you feel the difference

Melhor aplicativo ever

Practicing in bidirectional does not work anymore! The Hebrew phrases show up on the LEFT side of the screen and continue to the left into void. They should be start on the RIGHT side instead, as they did before the March 1st versions.

I like the app a lot and live spending time learning, but sone grammar would be great! Id pay for the app of there were chapters explaining why things work like they do. So far, it is just vocabulary learning which can be confusing if you dont know the reason why for certain phenomenons.

Its a great app, but needs work regarding conversations with bots.

This has really helped my language skills but there are glitches. Some translations are too picky -- like they will accept a certain amount of reasonable variation in one instance and then reject the same variation the next time. This is frustrating. Also, it gives you three Bonus skills to fill. I filled two very early and a third one has never shown up. So I have this empty slot waiting for a non-existent bonus skill. I am accumulating zillions of lingots as my reward for all my skills acquisition but there is absolutely nothing to spend them on besides dressing up their little character in a stupid track suit or buying a streak freeze. It would be nice to be able to use the lingots for something. Also, on some screens the box to check the translation is too close to the space bar so I press check when what I really want is a space and then my translation is graded as wrong even though I wasnt finished translating. These are frustrations in an otherwise pretty good app.

It plays like a game. The progress circles (like Apples activity monitor) motivate you to complete your daily goal. Easy to navigate the app for lessons, review and practice. Different learning modes challenge you to learn all aspects of a language: speaking, reading, spelling, grammar etc.
