Best app ever!

Nice app sets your own pace, I chose 5 min every day , build up vocabulary, so far very good

When I get older I want to go to either Japan or China. I cant do that if I cant learn their languages! Please add Japanese and Chinese in this app. Besides that, great app.

I have really enjoyed using this app. I lived in Brussels and France years ago and was forced to learn the language to get by. This app make it easy for me to remember what I had learned and helps me push myself to do more. I like that it reminds you of your daily streak...you dont want to see that streak end so you go back and do another lesson!

Please do not download this app until they reverse the latest update!!!!! This used to be a great app but they added a feature where they wont let you advance in a level until you get everything right! That means they keep giving you the same thing over and over and over again! Sometimes it glitches on you and you have to restart the whole thing because of this stupid update! Stay away until this is reversed!!!!

I like the daily reminders and how easy it is to navigate the app.

But I may revise my assessment if I dont actually learn the language.

GET THIS APP!!!! Best way to learn a language ever. Hope you like it as much as I do.

Great user friendly app. Simple to use and effective.

To those who are serious about learning German, I would unfortunately have to say look for another app. In German, everything follows from knowing the gender and thus correct article - "die", "das" or "der" for nouns. This is one of the hardest things about German. Therefore, the article should ALWAYS accompany any noun. In this app, the gender is unfortunately not indicated, making this app is pretty much useless. Because believe me, you do NOT want to learn words first and the gender later because you will be struggling. I actually stopped using this app because of that, but had forgotten about it. This morning I decide to check it out again. First exercise: no gender. As this is major for German, I decide to write a review... only to realize I already have about a year ago. And my version is up to date. So this is actually an update from my previous review. Not impressed.

Duolingo has some good features. Sentences which are to be repeated into a microphone provide good feedback on pronunciation, and the Italian speakers themselves are clear and easy to understand. But as a language-learning program, it has problems. The sentences used for translation are often useless; for example, who says "What am I cooking for her?" If you are the cook, you KNOW what you are cooking for her! When asked to choose the correct word out of three for translation, often two out of the three are absurdly off the mark; it would be a better test of students knowledge if all three choices seemed somewhat possible, and the student had to think about which one was really the correct answer. Im studying Italian (a language which I studied when I was younger, so this is a refresher for me). Since the app is free, Ill continue with it, but if I were learning a brand-new language, I would want a better program.

Please remove the health feature. Youre being greedy.

A great tool to learn a new language or brush up on others! Hear, see, speak, & listen to the language while interacting both visually, seeing and typing out the words/matching words, and verbally, saying a word/phrase/sentence out loud. There is even an option to have a text conversation with Bot characters created digitally through the app. The lessons are short but comprehensive; I dont feel overwhelmed to move on to the next one. This tool is great even if you dont have a lot of time. However, youll want to keep trekking through! Highly recommend.

Delete all your mindless games and "play" this instead! Its totally addictive and easy to learn!

Im still a student, and this has helped me so much more than school to learn French. And for free. Some day when its over, I will show my gratitude. Till then awesome job. Recommend. Also its 4 star cuz Im still below 15% thus havent explored it yes. But awesome thus far
