Duolingo Learn Many Languages for Free App Reviews

Best language app Ive ever seen.

Easy to use and makes learning fun!! So glad I found it. Thank you Duolingo ?

I am such a huge fan of this app. The fact that its free is mind-boggling, and Ive been able to learn so much from it. There are a couple ways Id like to see the app improved: -Explanations. There are often many forms of the same root word used with no reason given for why the different forms are needed. Especially when learning a language like Russian, whose alphabet and grammar are unfamiliar to me, its hard to intuit a form change without having a clear explanation of when each is needed. (Ex. "My" is моя, мои, мой, моё) -Bots. I love the bot conversations feature, it is incredibly useful. But I feel its too restrictive at times. When having a conversation in Spanish, a language I already know, I will often try to use more colorful, nuanced phrasing to respond, but the app does not even allow those words to be submitted. I understand that the responses are supposed to stay on-subject, but it would be nice to have some more flexibility with the type of response thats accepted. -Capitalization. In the majority of "drag and drop" translation exercises, only one word in the word bank is capitalized, making it obvious that it is the first word in the sentence. I would much prefer to lose correct capitalization in these exercises for the sake of relying on memory, not hints, for translation. Thank you for creating such a brilliant app and for making this important education available to everyone.

This app provides a delicious dose of positive reinforcement for exercising your language skills. The app is highly refined with beautiful animations and icon layouts. The programming is even nice. For free responses, the app will recognize a multitude of ways to answer to questions and reward you for demonstrating mastery of your response. Overall, I have nothing but good to say about this app? Did I mention its free? Do us all a favor and donate to this app to keep FREE education for all. The power of language is, well, powerful!

I use it everyday and absolutely love it. Has increased my understanding of Spanish and has been a tremendous help. I recommend to my friends and everyone loves it after they try it.

I do like this app. Used to use different ones. This is one of best Ive had. One minus: some of expeession are old (checked with native speaker)

I appreciate the fact I can squeeze in a few minutes every day for review. If I have my phone, Im studying in seconds. I would like to see a little larger vocabulary for the bots; otherwise, great!

Muy bien! Yo amo la app. I have used this app for a week and I have already had my first dream in Spanish. I previously had taken classes in Latin and thought I was enjoying that, but I love Spanish even more. The way duo lingo incorporates the language into your daily life makes it addictive to begin learning your next language. I love the feature that tells you your fluency percentage! It also allows you to share it to your Linkedin profile which, as a college student, is everything! Find a buddy, team up, and begin competing for extra fun. Lastly, with a free lifetime subscription, you actually cannot go wrong here. Try it now!

I decided I wanted to learn German for no reason in particular. I always liked the way it sounded. I remember when Duolingo was first introduced and was intrigued at the time and hadnt committed on a language. Several years later, I learned Duolingo expanded their languages and was very happy German was available. The program is very intuitive. They have done well at engaging in a game-like fashion. Certain goals = certain rewards. It is important that you repeat courses you have already done or use the refresher courses. You will find it very immersive. They have included three levels of chatbots also. If you want to invest the time and dedicate yourself to learning a new language, this program will work for you.

I am obsessed with this app. Ive been wanting to learn Spanish for years now. I took some classes in high school but didnt really pay attention. This app really helps you understand and remember ! I have only been doing this since Thursday and it is now Monday and Im 12% fluent in Spanish ! Cant wait till I reach 100%. I can see the progress within myself and Im so proud ! Get this app you lll be suprised with what you can do ! :)
