Duolingo Learn Many Languages for Free App Reviews

Would love to see an Arabic for English speakers course, however. Chinese, too. Neither of which is easy to create, I understand, but hey, thats 5-star territory.

This makes learning languages boring, but even worse. Apparently, to learn Japanese I have to know how to speak Japanese. THAT DOSENT MAKE SENSE!!!!!!!! I CANT DO WHAT I WANT BECAUSE THIS HORRIFIC APP WONT LET ME!!! WHATS THE POINT OF LEARNING A LANGUAGE WHEN YOU HAVE TO KNOW THE LANGUE TO LEARN IT. WORST APP EVER!!!!!!!!!

DUOLINGO is so much fun makes Spanish easier to learn. I need all the help I need to learn a new language. And Duolingo is just that.

Great for beginning to intermediate or just need to brush up on your language skills!

I know rudimentary "street" Spanish. I want to be fluent in conversational Spanish. I think that between this app and total immersion during my daily commute, I will be able to achieve my goal. I like the conversation "bots" even though they can be glitchy about exact phrases. Great program that is fun and a true brain exercise. Im giving myself 4 months. Ill let you know how it goes. Im learning Italian and love this app but I wish explained more the rules of the language so I can actually learn the language versus having to rely heavy of memorizing.

The format is excellent! I havent seen a better language app, and Ive tried several. I hope you add Arabic soon!!

Super fun and easy to understand

I love it! It does not take up too much time and it is educational and fun. I would like to be able to remove languages, but overall it is an amazing app and I highly recommend it.

Im very impressed with this app. I downloaded it to start learning Esperanto and ended up brushing up on the other languages as well. I study 9 languages and I find this app a good way to practice when you have waisted down time. I would love to see more languages added like Mandarin, Hindi, and Thai. Its hard to believe this is a free app. Its much better then many of the paid apps out there.

Ive already gotten so far with learning German that i now have fun learning French and Spanish. Practicing with this app everyday keeps things fresh and helps me with pronunciation. This goes great if you are already taking a language course.

I have taken German courses in university and this is just as good, if not better! Practising conversational style with the robots is unreal!!

Please if you could add Japanese I will be satisfied with this app

To be honest, the app is great. I have been using it to learn German and i like how it has that little feature that gives you a real life conversation that you might use. However, i have noticed i have trouble pronouncing some words and would love for a feature to be added where it helps you pronounce it. Maybe like in a dictionary when they spell out the word by syllables or a slow audio clip sounding it out. Anything that can save me the time from googling it!

Ive been using this app to brush up on my long-dormant Spanish. This app is well-designed, offering exercises in a variety of forms including translating what is written, what is heard, pairing words in English and the foreign language, speaking what is written and more. The variety helps one to learn translations to and from English and helps reinforce what is learned as new terms are introduced.

I love this app and have used it many times learning Italian, however in school Im taking mandarin and would love if duolingo added it to the languages as it has helped me so much in the past.
