Duolingo Learn Many Languages for Free App Reviews

Im learning French and I love it!!!! I recommend this app. Also I love Hetalia!!!

I gave it 4 stars because I cant move on. I always have to go back and strengthen the basic concepts or the food skills or something and I cant move on to learn something else

It started out good !! I liked it !! I was learning !! And then all of a sudden I realized why somebody created this app!! It wasnt to help people learn a language, it was their love of money that made me delete this app!! The catch to this app is not working at your own pace and actually learn, but doing a lesson fast enough for someone else and when you cant achieve someone elses speed goal, well then you should pay mr.greedy some money so you will have more time to finish the lesson. This is why I am deleting this app!!! Because of your love for money!! GREED!! Other then that its a good app if you can go at someone elses pace!

...one day I opened the app as usual, and my account was deleted (no explanation). With it went the progress I had made. The support is pretty light, so it seems like the only options are to start all over, or move on. Id happily pay a monthly subscription for a better version of Duolingo (with adequate tech support), but that doesnt seem to exist.

I downloaded this to learn Japanese (cause I ❤ BabyMetal), but there are no English-to-Japanese lessons. Tagalog and Korean would have been wonderful consolation prizes, but no. Pretty frustrating.

They have Japanese listed as one of the languages they cover, but it is only for Japanese speakers who want to learn English. There is still no course for learning Japanese. Is this ever coming to Duolingo? People have been begging for this for ages! Ive been using the Spanish snd French courses and I like the app pretty well. Its slightly buggy now and then, but not too bad. I just wish they would add Japanese since so many people have been asking for it for so very long.

I have enjoyed this app for over a year but I dont like the new update. It keeps repeating the same phrase over and over.

The health bars are incredibly frustrating and hinder language learning. Hate it!!! Please remove it! I will stop using this app!!!??????

You wont be truly fluent, but you cant expect that without living and speaking the language daily. This is great for reinforcing grammar and vocabulary. The audio reinforcement is also solid. I wish I had this when I lived outside my home country.

The greatest free app a person can own for learning a language.

Just straight terrible

First, lemme say this app is amazing. Ive learned so much Norwegian in a matter of a few months. Just today, a glitch occurred that seriously prevents me from progressing. Around 3 questions before the end of each lesson, a listening type question will appear. I almost always practice in study hall or a place where I cannot play a sound at an audible volume, so I always type something random and submit to skip these. However, as of recently, when I get past these, correct or not, it continues to do listening type questions only endlessly. This is tremendously annoying, and I would greatly appreciate it if you tried to fix it. Thanks.

This is overall a great free app to learn. As a beginner I think it needs more beginner features. Such as for learning the vocabulary - when I go back to repeat a lesson it doesnt allow to click on the words to see the definitions the second time like it does the first time through. It also doesnt explain the tenses and conjugation meanings very well. For example it uses only the same "yo como" example to explain for all the various conjugations instead of explaining the specific conjugation seen in the sentence. Im having to use other resources to supplement. Please improve this and itll be a 5 star app!

this is a great app and good for learning, but i do want to improve my skills on tagalog, for i know a few words and sentences, but not a lot

Good but it would be better if ther was chinese for french speaker

I do like this app. The banner when you make a mistake covers your own responses so you cant compare with the correct answer. Please let me see my incorrect response as well as the correct so I can compare and make sure I see the difference.
